A Message of Unity by Chair of the Trade and Commerce Committee in Asgardia, John E. Fine

And a great fellow Asgardian who wants to spread an important message for all of us:

Our colleague is also a political consultant

At the beginning of Asgardia, one of the most critical areas the founders believed to be paramount to its success was a message of unity. Asgardia’s motto is «One Humanity, One  Unity,» with that motto, our first goal was to create unity within Asgardia. To reach that goal,  we must reject disunity. Our founding father, Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli, once said, «The essence  of Asgardia is peace in Space and the prevention of Earth’s conflicts being transferred into  Space.»

When most people think of Earth’s conflicts, they envision more on the macro level, with wars, starvation, police states, terrorists, violent protests, proxy wars, border crises, trade wars, and many other areas that affect humans on a global level. However, conflicts also arise at the micro and mezzo levels as well. These levels can equally become a factor of disunity just as much as the macro level can. A conflict that might start at the micro level can quickly advance to the mezzo level and, eventually, advance to the macro level. He refers to all levels when the HON said to prevent the transfer of Earth’s conflicts into Asgardia.

To do this, we must recognize each level and understand how we have embraced these conflicts. Once we can do that, we have a better understanding of how we can eliminate disunity. Disunity is born from division, things that separate us on some level. This separation can come from culture, physical characteristics, professions, sexual orientations,  geographical locations, belief systems, prejudices, biases, religions, historical references,  perceptions, ethnicity, translations, and so much more.

From these divisions, our species has developed two types of truths: objective and subjective. An objective truth is accurate 100 percent of the time, no matter the circumstances. For instance, «Humans must have air to breathe and to live» (air oxygen,  nitrogen, and other trace gases). This truth is true no matter what: if you take away our air,  we die. Nobody can dispute this truth, and nothing can change it. It’s true here on Earth and  in Space. A subjective truth is something that has limitations to its truth. For instance, «If you  drive down in that neighborhood, you will get shot.» This statement might be true once for a  specific neighborhood, but the problem is that the parameters can change and make it inaccurate; it is limited to specific parameters that can modify and reverse what made it true.

Most people unintentionally live in subjective truths. Truths that might seem true or have been true once or are not valid in other places. Say you’re a person who believes if a person is from a certain race, they are a terrible person. That truth for you most likely was passed down from one generation to the next on the micro level, then it evolved into the mezzo level, and

with enough insanity, it could reach the macro level. An excellent example of this was the  Jewish people; they experienced all three levels during World War 2. The problem was that what many considered a trustworthy truth was just propaganda to support a discriminatory perspective. Millions of the Jewish people paid the price with their lives of a subjective truth.  That truth led to divisions, those divisions led to disunity, and the disunity led to disaster.

Dennis Shoemaker, our Minister of Information and Communication, once said, «We are not concerned by small things such as birthplace, the color of skin, or religion. We are  working to push humanity past these and into the future.» This statement is a message of unity but also a subjective truth. However, though it is subjective to Asgardia, it is objective within humanity. Many things humans place some importance on are mostly unimportant. What is important is living in a world without conflict, but to do that, we must realize our petty differences are not significant enough to rule out equality.

Equality means equality across all spectrums within humanity. Whenever you give special recognition to a group of people or individuals over another, you invite the possibility of inequality. To have unity, you must eliminate disparities as well. This practice is where everyone is treated with the same dignity and respect as everyone else; their perspective,  beliefs, thoughts, abilities, and mannerisms are just as equal as someone else, with no pretenses between the two.

Furthermore, this starts with everyone recognizing the conflicts within themselves. These conflicts may have been cultivated over generations, and they will undoubtedly be hard to realize since we live in a world where conflict has emerged as the victor over centuries of human interaction. I would say it is the new normal, but that would be a lie as it has existed for as long as humans have created ways to divide themselves into one thing or another.

These divisions have only one result: disunity. To reject disunity and embrace unity, we must reject these divisions, the subjective truths, and anything that leads to disharmony within Asgardia. This rejection must start within us first and recognize the micro, mezzo, and macro levels of disunity or divisions humanity has programmed into us. Once we realize this,  we can coexist and experience unity like never before.

I often say that people wear their biases and prejudices like lenses in front of their eyes.  Some knowingly and others not. The trick is to start removing these lenses. To do that, you must begin to reject your programming. Much of that programming comes from influences like parents, family, friends, gangs or clubs, culture, religions, professions, fears, political beliefs or groups, governments, media, etc., which can all have conflict-ridden programming.  For instance, my father used to tell us, “You are not American unless you are white, roman  catholic, or republican.” This statement is a subjective truth that might be true for one person,  but it holds no truth for most Americans. Had I not rejected this parental lens and decided not to wear it over my eyes, it may have been true for me as an adult. Then, you start accepting other people’s perspectives and finding common ground between their beliefs and yours.

First, you must admit to yourself you have prejudices, fears, subjective truths, and biases within you, then try to push past those and see what is on the other side. You can only see what is on the other side by removing the lenses. You will always have a limited view of the world that will cause conflict within you and obscure your sight from reaching its true potential. We all have a journey here in Asgardia of attaining true unity for humanity;  however, our lenses can create barriers that will stop, redirect, or slow down our ability to travel the path of unity. Removing these lenses within ourselves will resolve conflict, and the external conflicts will disappear as if they never existed.

I hope that Asgardia is the one place humanity can start anew without the conflicts of our past, present, and future Earth world. We are a Space Nation responsible for ensuring the Asgardia we envision and, as laid out by the Asgardia Constitution, is the  Asgardia we create. Our legislative duties hinge on this principle, and we must not fail. Any actions contrary to this goal that have an outcome of disunity must be eliminated at the micro level before they advance to any other level. Instead of yearning for empowerment, we should long for enrichment. While empowerment has some good qualities, it can quickly progress into disunity. Enrichment, however, allows us to grow and be better today than we were yesterday. We must accept there is no right or wrong way to do something in Asgardia,  only the collaborative way that considers all levels of a matter, the supportive, alternative,  traditional, and opposing. But this will not be done with programs or some new technology;  this will be done by humbling ourselves and realizing we are all at fault in one way or another, then moving past and removing the crippling lenses that we may wear and seeing a  glorious future on the other side—a future worth sacrificing for, a future of One Humanity,  One Unity.

I wish all Asgardians a happy holiday season and a joyous New Year. May whatever higher power you believe in bless you, your family, and your friends. Thank you

The Space House in the Future Exoplanet, reflections on the work of the philosopher Frank White: Analysis of the Series Close the Doors to the Past and Move On

The essential motivator for this second work arises when I find myself faced with the dilemma of continuing with a second part of my fiction work. In my mind is the idea suggested by the translator Elena Khmeleva, who in a recent interview with the Spanish writer Dioni Arroyo Merino, also talked about my work and she pointed out that pioneers who inhabit a distant world are one thing and achieving an entire functional colony in lands far from Earth is another. Her comment stayed in my mind as if I was crouching waiting for a powerful motivation to gather the necessary data and move forward.

I posed the question on my YouTube show in search of other voices to give me their opinions but came to the conclusion that people do not always feel comfortable in other people’s books, especially when it does not have significant sales and we are left with the promise of making them participate in the royalties that never arrive. I must clarify that for me as an Asgardian it is enough to know that in the future my work will be part of the spatial digital library.

It was then that I realized that I had a giant in front of me with visionary material that I had not read, and I immediately prepared to buy his eBook of “The Cosma Hypothesis” of which I had notions from the conversation we had on the Asgardia program TV and which pages later I transcribe in this work, one of its parts.
